Music Editing Software

Music editing software encompasses a multitude of types varying from simple to professional. You can buy some good stuff but much of it is expensive especially for someone who only needs to use it once in a while. Therefore, we

have put together some really good software that covers a great area of music editing. Some of it is simple and will work for what most people need while other packages believe it or not are com pre able to professional suites that you would pay dearly for. In fact, Audacity is used by many professional musicians and mixers.

As always realize the more complex the package the larger the learning curve. Most of this stuff will work on a standard computer without a massive amount memory or speed. However, realize that you need to have enough space on your hard drive because wave and even lots of MP3 files can take up a lot of space.

Audacity is a free ware open license music editor. You can use it record, play sounds, analyse, remove noise and it has a host of plug ins for special effects. You can do quite a bit with it and it approaches if not exceeds some of the programs that you pay for. It has a learning curve for the advanced features but that's what you would expect. Acid Xpress is free 10 track version of the Professional Software Package Acid Pro. You can do amazing things with software including editing, video scoring, making your own music, adding loops (many that are free). It looks professional and makes professional stuff.
